  • Terms of reservation

    Reservations can be made through email, call or visit to our office. A booking is binding and cancellation policy is applied right after we (Ylläs Experiences) have confirmed availability and you (guest / booking agent) have agreed to book, regardless of the booking channel and way & time of the payment.

    Bookings earlier than 30 days prior to the activity: To confirm your booking, a deposit (downpayment) of 20% of the total sum is charged at the moment of booking. The rest of the sum is due 30 days prior to the beginning of the (first) activity. Cancellation is free until 30 days prior to the date of the (first) activity, meaning we also refund the 20% deposit. 10-30 days before the day of the trip we will charge a 50% cancellation fee of the total price of the booking. Cancellations are not possible anymore later than 10 days before the reservation. Please note that all animal-related activities, unlike other activities, are completely non-refundable after 30 days prior to the activity.

    Bookings later than 30 days prior to the activity: The booking must be paid 100% at the moment of booking unless otherwise agreed. Regardless of the time of the payment, the booking is binding and the above cancellation policy is applied, as soon as we have confirmed the availability and you have agreed to book.

    Ylläs Experiences Oy reserves the right to change the programs and prices at any moment but the prices of earlier confirmed bookings will not be affected. Programs may be changed due to weather conditions or to ensure customer (or animal) safety. In case we need to cancel a tour (dangerous weather, lack of snow, a guide's illness), we will refund the tour 100%. This does not apply to cases where we cancel a tour due to a customer's inability to participate (sickness, the customer is under the influence of alcohol or drugs etc.).

    The tours take place outdoors so despite careful safety instructions and preparations, accidents may happen. Due to this, guests must take care of suitable, valid insurances. Higher speed tours (e.g. snowmobile, husky, skiing, biking) are not recommended for pregnant people or people with back, hip, wrist and leg injuries. If a participant has any health issues that may affect their participation either before or during the activity, YE should be informed about it as soon as possible. If a guest is wondering whether they are able to join or not, please consult YE as much in advance as possible. If a participant suffers any injury during the activity, whether minor or more serious, the guide must be notified immediately, not only upon completion of the activity. Remember, that every snowmobile driver must carry a valid driving license.

    Any kind of harassment, bullying or discriminating behaviour is strongly forbidden. Depending on the level of seriousness, these cases are handled by the guide and concerning parties. The guide has the right to remove the guilty person from the group (at their own cost), or contact officials, if the situation so requires. The guilty person must also take care of all related costs (transfers, salaries), also costs caused to other participants.

    The booking terms mentioned here are applied to all bookings to Ylläs Experiences' tours, unless otherwise agreed.
