    Guided packrafting in Ylläs

Ultra-light, inflatable kayak created for adventures on (and off) the waters

Come midsummer, the water levels usually get low even in Lapland, meaning many of the great paddling spots of early summer are too dry and rocky for kayaks and canoes. Solution: a packraft! Packraft is an agile, inflatable kayak that requires a bit less water than its more traditional siblings. Thanks to only weighing a few kilos, carrying it over tricky spots is neither a problem. This allows us to explore smaller rivers sometimes just carrying the "boats" while hiking a little further. Given that, we can always decide the route and destination a few days before the trip depending on the current conditions.

Alternative 1: Easy but beautiful 2-3h tour usually either on river Kesänkijoki or Kuerjoki.

Alternative 2: A full-day packrafting adventure to the most appealing waters of the moment. Includes often some hiking as well. Lunch included.

Included: Packraft with related equipment, dry suits on cold days, guiding, snacks and transportation within Äkäslompolo

Bring along: suitable clothes to wear (under the drysuit, if needed), extra set of clothing, sunglasses and water bottle

Duration: Either 2-3h or ca. 6h

    Group size: min. 2 pax

    Price: Alternative 1: 85€/person; Alt 2: 140€ / hlö
