A 4-night packraft adventure in the Vätsäri wilderness area, in North-Eastern Lapland.

We take you into the middle of some of the most beautiful and rugged part of Finland – far from everything, in the middle of nowhere, just us, our packraft kayaks and camping gear. First we fly to a remote corner of the area by a small seaplane. The following five days are used for paddling and hiking our way back to Sevettijärvi. It's an all-inclusive week: the price includes all equipment, food and the seaplane flight.

Our route crosses majestic fell and lake sceneries in a real wilderness area. We sleep in tents and cook either by open fire or gas cookers. There is no electricity or running water, but a lot of quietness and unforgettable experiences. The equipment we use is well tested and approved for the conditions at hand. This week introduces both with the magnificient arctic nature and the art of packrafting.

The daily distance is around 10 km, mainly paddling but partly also hiking between the rivers and lakes. Please note that when not paddling, we have to be able to carry all the equipment ourselves. Hence, participation requires good physical condition, although you don't have to be a marathon runner to join. We have a relaxed pace and take a lot of breaks. With a decent condition you are able to enjoy the surroundings and not just suffer. It is also recommended to have a bit of kayaking experience, though not absolutely mandatory. In August the Lapland weather may provide us with pretty much anything from -5 degrees and snowfall to +25 and sunshine.

Including: The flight from Sevettijärvi to the wilderness. All camping and paddling equipment: packraft, paddle, helmet, backpack, drybag, tent, sleeping bag, liner, sleeping pad and a gas cooker. Meals: x4 breakfast, x5 lunch, x4 dinner. Two guides, both experienced adventurers guaranteeing a safe and memorable experience.
